Just got this from my housemate who's finish her exams and flying back to Indon for the holidays! Its been a blessing to have housemates like mine:)
Will keep and bring them home to share:)
*fats like these cannot keep to myself right?*

HE definitely works in many ways :)
I'm suppose to be studying but i have to admit am slacking every now and then. 2 papers on Monday :/
Me and Aussie buddy planned to surprise our mummies by telling them we will be back on Thursday 25 June but thanks to the swine flu we have decided that we would play that surprise another time. We didn't want to risk our life even more by taking the air asia bus and then the lrt. 4 weeks of keeping it a secret and planning and as we reach 4 days we have to let go of our little secret. So yeah we will be back on the 23rd :D
Its amazing how God works, especially in the last few days. I was very disturbed by the thought of H1N1 that ive quarantined myself at home and wash my hands multiple times.Ive never drank so much water in my life in a day. Yes! thats how desperate i am to go home. but somehow i didnt question why would this swine thing happen after me and aussie buddy have waited 10 weeks for this day to come.Looking back, being in australia has thought me a lot of things, i would never imagine going this far. Perspectives change, attitudes have changed and bad habits reduced. Its encouraging to see different ones giving you bits of encouragement when you feel like the world is about to end. And how God has brought different ones to share their problems. I must admit, i am not the best person to seek advice but i would be ever willing to listen.
Its even more amazing when you see how God can work through facebook. He knew i needed that reassurance and he has definitely used something which was sent 2 months ago to encourage me. Never knew it was sent. To that person, you may never know but that simple click of your mouse has helped me to persevere:)
Sorry my mind is abit here and there. Ill be back in 4 days!!!!! *jumps up and down*
For now...Esther you have to study and focus. thoughts aside. eyes on the lecture notes...............

Ipswich
Spent a few days with Shin le all the way in Ipswich..about 30 minutes away from where i live..It was fun chit chatting and studying together..and walking in the cold cold weather to her campus..And i had great nutritious diet meals:) Ahhh satisfaction..hope i made a difference the few days i was there *hugs* Study hard and all the best for finals! We can do it!! :)
The weather is crazy......5 degrees tonight..freezing cold.........Thank God for heaters.....

Practicals
Population genetics-Biol 1020 last practical for the semester
My lab partner-Joanne..*Its fun having you as my partner..for always being the last in the group to leave:)*
Counting the population of fruit flies..
First we need to pengsan-kan the flies with Co2
Then we pour them out on the diffusing pad...
But our flies weren't completely knocked out and started flying..panic attack!! more Co2
Put them under the microscope! and this is what you seeee..
Counting them..wild type female or male? or vestigial female or male?
After counting we dump the flies into the fly morgue...to kill them!
Counting them is a tidious procedure! :(
Finally tally the results! we had over 500 flies....

Love is a choice and a commitment. You choose to love or you choose not to love.
Today we’ve bought into this myth that love is uncontrollable, that it’s something that just happens to us; it’s not something we control. In fact, even the language we use implies the uncontrollability of love. We say, “I fell in love,” as if love is some kind of a ditch. It’s like I’m walking along one day and bam!—I fell in love. I couldn’t help myself.
But I have to tell you the truth: that’s not love. Love doesn’t just happen to you. Love is a choice and it represents a commitment.
There’s no doubt about it, attraction is uncontrollable and arousal is uncontrollable. But attraction and arousal are not love. They can lead to love, but they are not love. Love is a choice.
You must choose to love God; He won’t force you to love him (Deuteronomy 30:20). You can thumb your nose at God and go a totally different way. You can destroy your life if you choose to do that. God still won’t force you to love Him. Because He knows love can’t be forced.
And this same principle is true about your relationships: you can choose to love others, but God won’t force you to love anyone.
